Hi, My name is Laura and I love children.I love learning and I always have so, I jump at the chance to help curious fellows like myself.I find that I learn more when I am teaching others so I love teaching. I have led many student activities as a professional Child Care provider over the past 20yrs.I love Outdoor Exploration. Finding bugs and listening to birds after a long hike are my idea of Heaven.I know more tag games than I can count but rainy days are fun too because I love revisiting my youth by playing card games and Imaginary Play.I believe all people need to educate themselves about the world around them and right now, that includes our technological world but, we all need fun free lively time in our days. I am not a care giver who plays video games or watches tv. Children need to be introduced to quiet internal study in order to develop. I am more likely to sit quietly reading or drawing photos to unwind.I now that we begin learning as soon as we are born so, I believe in helping children learn what they need to know to be independant, from shoe-tying to conflict resolution skills.But,I definitely have a warm, playful energy which children tend to find most likable about me. I am firm and consistent but also an enthusiastic playmate.I'd rather play tag than text a friend.I love animals. I ahve volunteered with animals organizatons and pet-sat.I am currently in school volunteering 1 day, around the city but my schedule is flexible.Once I have been established with a family, I am loyal and the children's needs come 1st. I am always their advocate 1st, my own 2nd.
