This listing is for a Vintage Dual 1229 Turntable.This was the culmination of the long line of Dual rim drive turntables and is an excvceptional performer.It comes with an Audio Technics LS500 Cartridge.The stylus in the cartridge shows no sign of wear in the micrographs.I did the following work on it:I deglazed the idler wheel and cleaned it.I cleaned the platter running surface.I cleaned the motor shaft.I cleaned and lubricated the spindle bearing with proper turntable lubrication oilI disassembled the frozen speed changing mechanism, total cleaned it and lubricated with proper fresh lubricant.I disassambled the arm slide mechanism, cleaned it, added some thickness to the worn slide friction peg.It works as it should. The video shows proper operation of all automatic functions and proper landing at the three diameters.The speed indicator strobe lamp works and the strobe scale is perfect.Cosmetically, the turntable itself is very good.The base has numerous nicks and a missing piece on the back.The top cover has a crack and is in dire need of polishing.I do not have the drop spindle.This is 100% guaranteed to be as described.I am happy to answer your questions to the best of my ability.PHOTO SHOWS ACTUAL ITEM FOR WHICH YOU ARE BIDDING!
