With a "Green" approach to Pond Maintenance, Paul Des Roches has refined natural methods for water purification for fish ponds, with primary focus on mechanical filtration (but not recommending canister filters), secondary means but still a strong focus on Bog Filtration (the planting of aggressive evergreen aquatic plants into the perimeter of a pond system to consume nitrates), and thirdly, some focus on biological filtration (encouraging aerobic bacterial colonization through construction of planters that also act as housing complexes for these colonies).
Cleaning and Repair is the typical work of the day. Ultraviolet bulbs and chemicals such as algaecide are discouraged in most cases as these products are costly and with proper pond design, not necessary.
Monthly Maintenance is provided throughout Las Vegas, Henderson and Boulder City.
