recreation.ucr.edu 827-5731University of California Riverside Student Recreation Center Tai Chi Chuan Workshops for Winter 20131/13/13 Tai Chi Walking Stick Workshop Using a waist high stick the Tchoung style tai chi walking stick form will be taught as well as the application form. Also taught will be how to perform the application form with a 4 foot staff. Taught by Harvey Kurland who studied directly with Grandmaster Tchoung Ta-tchen and was certified to teach this form by Grandmaster Tchoung. $32 1:00 to 3:00 Sunday January 13th, RSVP by January 9th.3/3/13 Kuang P'ing T'ai Chi Ch'uan also spelled Guang Ping Tai Chi Chuan will be taught by Harvey Kurland. Kurland studied directly with Grandmaster Kuo Lien Ying the Lineage holder of this style. Kurland is the only known direct student of Kuo in Southern California. Form and Applications of the form will be taught. $32 1:00 to 3:00 Sunday February 3rd. RSVP by January 30th3/3/13 Ch'i Kung Workshop. The Soaring Crane Ch'i kung form and Bagua Ch'i Kung method will be taught. Ch'i kung is also spelled qigong and is based on the movement of Ch'i or life force energy. Ch'i (Qi)is the basis for Chinese Traditional Medicine, and acupuncture. $32 1:00 to 3:00 Sunday March 3rd RSVP by February 27th
