My responsibilities in child watch include watching out for the safety of the children as well as entertaining them while their parents use the facility. The responsibilities of a camp staff are to keep the children safe, have fun planned activities, as well as making sure all children are fed according to their dietary restrictions. Working at the YMCA has taught me about community and coming together to work as a team. JULY 2019– PRESENT HOST/BUS/EXPO, APPLEBEE’S, MARSHALL MN I am currently working for Applebee’s as a host/bus and expo. My responsibilities include seating, setting up customers, bussing and cleaning tables, as well as expoing all the food. Though I have not been there long I have proved myself as valuable employee. JANUARY 2019– MAY 2019 HOST/BUS/FOOD RUNNER, DULUTH GRILL, DULUTH MN I acquired wonderful experience as a host/bus for the Duluth Grill. My responsibilities include seating, setting up customers, managing a waitlist, and completing all necessary side work. Towards the end of my time there I moved up to food running and held the responsibility to know the menu and all allergens and ingredients, as well as knowing table numbers and where to bring the food. APRIL 2016– DECEMBER 2018 HOST/WAITRESS, MIKES CAFÉ, MARSHALL MN As a host I was in charge of seating and setting up the customers. At peak demands my attention to detail was called upon to expo orders for quality control and accuracy. As a waitress I oversaw the orders and was able to accurately enter them into the computer system by memory. I guided the customer’s initial dining experience. It was my responsibility to complete all necessary cut work such as sweeping and moping, closing the till, and cleaning all essential equipment. I gained valuable work experience at Mike's and learned a attractive deal about what it takes to operate a successful restaurant. NOVEMBER 2017– SEPTEMBER 2018 KITCHEN STAFF/FRONT OF HOUSE, TONI’S DEPOT, MARSHALL MN At Toni's Depot I took orders, prepared food, and engaged our customers in order to provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Similar to a Subway, I worked the line, and also the till. I completed all required prep work such as stocking the line (set ups), sweeping and moping, cleaning the grill and counting and closing the till. DECEMBER 2017– SEPTEMBER 2018 DIETARY AIDE, HERITAGE POINTE SENOR LIVING, MARSHALL MN Working in an assisted living facility was valuable work experience as I took care of all the residents dietary needs. My responsibilities included serving and cleaning the dining room, as well as putting away all necessary dishes, washing the tablecloths and re-setting the dining room. EDUCATION MARSHALL HIGH SCHOOL, GRADE 9-10 3.7 GPA, honors/AP classes, top 1/3 of class. Participated in Speech, a baking competition, and successfully petitioned to bring back cheerleading. SOUTHWEST MINNESOTA STATE UNIVERSITY, GRADE 11/ COLLEGE FRESHMAN Through PSEO I have been able to attend full time college classes at SMSU. My goal is to major in hospitality and food service, and minor in women's studies. Outside of work and school I enjoy yoga, reading, writing, dancing, cooking, and spending time with friends and family. I love children and spend some of my free time babysitting. I am environmentally concerned and have spent countless hours picking up waste and other environmentally hazardous material. I have also begun my journey to becoming a certified yoga instructor. I was a member of the SMSU Culinology Club where I was surrounded by inspiring chefs. I was awarded third place in the annual end of semester cooking competition. I am also 1st aid and CPR certified.
