Lucas Tree Experts, Milbridge, ME — Groundman Sept. 2023 - March 2024Responsibilities: As a groundman with Lucas Tree Experts I was primarily tasked with assisting tree trimmers operating power tools such as stick saws and chainsaws, either from a boom lift or on the ground. I would drag brush from where it was cut to a wood chipper, stack larger pieces of wood neatly, and watch tool and boom lift operators to ensure that they were working safely. I was also tasked with trimming with hand tools such as hand saws, pole saws, and pole pruning snips. ACRT inc., Boise, ID — Consulting Utility Forester Sept. 2022 - March 2023Responsibilities: ACRT is a nationwide company that hires foresters to make plans to clear vegetation from power lines. My main responsibility was to follow power lines to determine which trees were too close, mark them on digital maps, and send a trimming and removal plan to tree trimming crews. Santa Fe Wildfire Support Team Santa Fe, NM — Engine Crew Member Seasonally employed 2022 & 2023 Responsibilities: The Wildfire Support Team is contracted to send crews to wildfire incidents.
