Math/Programming Tutoring Offered by Experienced Stanford Graduate

Location:
Stanford, CA
Description:

About Me: - B.S. in Physics, UCLA 2015 - M.S. in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science, Stanford University 2017 I have just started my business and I am offering a discounted tutoring rate! I have over 4 years of experience tutoring both high school and college students. During my time in college, I worked both as a teaching assistant during my time at UCLA and as a private tutor at Stanford University. My passion is not only to help my students succeed in their math and programming courses, but also to enable them to develop and hone their long-term critical thinking skills. Due to my recent background as a student, and now a working professional in the software industry, I can understand my students' mindset as they are struggling through solving problems. Too often do I hear stories about teachers, professors, and older tutors making concepts too complex for students to understand. One of the goals of my tutoring business is to be relatable to students. This enables me to put myself in the shoes of students and pinpoint their weaknesses. I specialize in teaching Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus AB. I also teach beginner programming in Java/Python. I charge $50/hour remotely via Skype (we will use online collaboration tools!). Please contact me for a free consultation! *Student Evaluations* "I would recommend him to a friend because he takes the time and patience to teach a problem to a student." "His chill personality makes the course seem less strenuous, yet remains effective." "If it wasn't for him, I would be suffering in this course." "He is comprehensive, calm, confident, analytical, intelligent, & awesome!" *Parent Feedback* "Very knowledgeable and patient tutor. He seemed to understand my son very well from the get-go. He is really patient when explaining mistakes and figures out the root of the problems with ease. He explains topics well, and has special tricks or special gimmicks that he teaches to help reach a further understanding of those topics more easily."
