FOR ALL PROSPECTIVE COLLEGE APPLICANTS: Are you looking for personalized advising on how to navigate the undergraduate admissions process? Applying through the Questbridge National Match, Early Action/Decision, or Regular Decision? Interested in researching and finding colleges that are a social, academic, and economic best-fit? Want veteran insight on how to present you and your lived experiences in a compelling and authentic way? In need of individualized ESSAY WORKSHOPPING and FEEDBACK? If so, you've come to the right place! About me: I’m a recent Stanford graduate in Biology (Neurobiology concentration) and a current coterminal masters student in Biomedical Informatics at the Stanford School of Medicine. In my time as an undergraduate, I served as a CollegeBoard Advising Fellow and personally advised three cohorts of first-generation and/or low-income high school students throughout the college admissions process (i.e., meeting from junior year summer to the weekend of college matriculation on a weekly basis), logging in a total of 400+ one-on-one advising hours. I look forward to my meetings with students and am interested in meeting people where they're at in the process! Across all cohorts, my high school advisees were offered admission to Stanford, Harvard, and Johns Hopkins University. I have extensive experience in designing, optimizing, and teaching college admissions curricula and good organizational habits to students, ESPECIALLY in the crafting and reviewing of personal statements, essays, and short answer questions. Other areas of expertise include: - Research & finding "fit" colleges - Visiting campus & fly-in programs - Making a testing plan - Applying for financial aid - Applying to outside scholarships - Creating a resume - UC, CSU, Common, Coalition, and Questbridge Applications - College interviews - Understanding aid packages - Choosing & matriculating to college I'm available to meet with students via Zoom or in-person for hourly sessions.
