Dear Sir or Madam, Due to the occurrence of certain, highly impactful, life-altering, events in the course of the last few years, I am in a position to plead for help. I used to have the kind of stubborn pride that would have prevented my doing this; but I lost the majority of my pride and strength in the year two-thousand-nine. I married my beloved wife, who was to become the mother of our children a daughter and son, in nineteen-eighty-one Since the moment we met, she had been the light of my life. Over the following twenty-seven plus years we grew up, grew older, our love grew stronger every day. I had not spent twenty-four hours away from her since the day we were wed. In early February of two-thousand-nine, the week before my daughter's birthday, I took my wife to Lansing, Michigan, where my daughter resided at the time. My wife was taking a breathing treatment in our daughter's house when our daughter left to run some errand. Shortly after she left us at her house, my wife began having problems. I called 9-1-1. Our daughter returns, the ambulance arrives. Upon arrival at the hospital, the staff of the emergency unit found that the intubation had been done improperly. They pull the tube from her stomach, moved it to her lungs. She was then getting the necessary oxygen her body needed to survive. Her body was able to survive; but her brain was already dead, though we were not to learn this for another week. During this time we held onto what hope we could, until there was nothing left to grasp. I sat with my love, who was in a coma, praying for my love, praying for Her, praying for the strength she needed in her hour of need, praying for a miracle. As you well know by now, she did not make it. The family made a decision to donate her organs to the Gift of Life network. The loss tore my heart out, took away all my strength and pride. Least of my worries at the time was the fact that her passing also meant losing half of the household income. The events that followed created a good amount of bills. It breaks my heart that her ashes still sit in a plastic file box, she deserves better; that I have yet to buy her a memorial, a decent urn: I just can not afford to do any better for her right now. This tragedy caused my daughter to divorce her husband. She has since remarried and gave birth to a son. With his birth came a whole new stack of bills for Daddy to pay, even though daughter lives about three-hundred miles away. I am spending a lot in gas, etc. to go down and help out. My daughter needs a more reliable, more safe, mode of transportation; she is behind on bills. Baby needs to be taken to daycare every day so she can work a minimum wage, part time job (her husband, does not make much more) to help pay for all the things a growing baby needs. They work so hard and still fall short- I need to do what I can for them, I know my wife would want me to. On top of everything else, my son has been unable to find employment for some time, he lives with me to help out, but it is costly to support him and myself on my pensions. I am in need of a single large lump-sum loan of fifteen-thousand dollars. I am able to prove through my Michigan retirement benefits statement that I am able to make a five-hundred dollar monthly payment. I am willing to make such a payment, every month, for a period of 38 months. This will produce an 8.42105% apr return on your initial investment. The lender will receive a total of nineteen-thousand dollars. Additionally, as collateral, I can assign a portion of my life insurance, up to the full nineteen-thousand dollars, to pay whatever remains of the debt, should anything happen to me. Once the debt has been fully satisfied the lender's name will be removed from the life insurance policy. I understand this is a rather complex offer; and as such I can have my lawyer draw-up any necessary paperwork. While this is, I honestly believe, a decent and fair offer, potentially beneficial to both parties.
