1:1 Coding Interview/CS Tutoring from Stanford/Palantir Alum @stanford.edu

Location:
Stanford, CA
Description:

Do you feel like you would be a great software developer but this isn’t coming through in the interview process? With experience from going through 200 interviews and having interviewed over 50 candidates myself, I can attest that even the most capable software engineers need preparation. Learn the strategies I used to double/triple resume response rates, obtain 12+ offers from companies including Palantir, Microsoft, LinkedIn, and Apple, and negotiate salaries higher by $15,000, bonuses by $20,000 and stock packages by 25%. A bit about myself: I have BS/MS degrees in Computer Science from Stanford University and have worked at LinkedIn, Bloomberg, and Palantir. I have interviewed with and gotten offers from established giants like Palantir, Microsoft, LinkedIn, and Apple and high-growth startups like Thumbtack and Gusto (formerly ZenPayroll) Because I have extensive experience and a large network in tech, I know the patterns behind most tech company’s interviews so I can help you prepare for the interview for your particular dream company. (e.g. Dropbox tends to focus on systems design questions and I can prepare you with specific questions). I can improve your resume and can leverage my extensive connections and help make referrals for students to those companies so their resumes stand out in front of hiring managers. The average recruiter sees hundreds of resumes per day, so let’s make sure yours stands out. Negotiations can have a huge impact on your final salary. I’ve managed to increase salary figures by $15,000 and sign-on bonuses by $20,000 and stock packages by 25%. With my 12+ offers, I have a lot of experience and a lot of information that will help me guide you through maximizing your compensation. I am good at simplifying complex concepts and have 8+ years of experience total as a private tutor (since 2009) and 1 year as a Computer Science teaching assistant at Stanford University. Ready to Ace Your Interviews? Our coaching sessions will be catered to whatever you need. We can: Do mock phone or in-person interviews (including real interview questions from the companies you’re interviewing for) Review the most common algorithms and data structures (linked lists, hash tables, binary trees, recursion, etc.) Discuss ways to study and prepare for software interviews, identifying companies that are best for you, and practice answering the most common non-technical interview questions. Revise your resume and LinkedIn profiles to put your best foot forward. I’ve worked at LinkedIn and have been able to help candidates double/triple their response rates from companies. All new students will receive a 30-minute free consultation (15 minutes to discuss your goals and 15 minutes to diagnose your level [to answer the question “would you pass a 1st Round Interview with Company X?”]) with the purchase of at least a 1-hour session. We can meet in person (I’m based in Manhattan/NYC) or do sessions over Skype/phone. Rates are between $100-$200/hour, with member rates for packaged courses. You can buy hours a-la-carte or buy one of the below packages with cheaper rates. Some examples of packages I offer with cheaper rates: 2-hour crash course (30 minutes reviewing common data structures/algorithms, their space and time complexities, then 2 45-minute interviews) – $300 5-hour short course (3 individual 1-hour lessons, including review and walking through interviews collaboratively and then 2 hours to simulate one phone interview and one on-site interview – $625 10-hour coaching package (the 10 hours can include the other packages or be used however you want)- $1,000
