Get your Dream Software Developer Job (Coding Interview Prep) @stanford.edu

Location:
Stanford, CA
Description:

Want to land your dream software developer job at Facebook or Google? Landing a job as a software engineer usually means salaries of $100k - $200k at entry level, but the process is often frustrating and stressful. The questions are difficult, you’re given less than 45 minutes per problem, and you are often expected to come up with a working solution without being able to run your code. To make it worse, colleges and coding boot camps generally do not prepare you for the interviews. As someone who has gone through this process multiple times and gotten 12+ offers, I can prepare you for programming interview. A bit about myself: - I have BS/MS degrees in Computer Science from Stanford University and have worked at LinkedIn, Bloomberg, and Palantir. - I have gone through more than 200 programming interviews myself and gotten offers from big companies like Palantir, Microsoft, and Apple and high-growth startups like Thumbtack, and Gusto (formerly ZenPayroll) - I have been an interviewer and interviewed more than 50 candidates. - I know the questions that many companies tend to ask so we can tailor your preparation to your particular dream company. - I have many connections at these companies and can make referrals for students to those companies so they get out of the general pool. - I have a lot of information about the 12+ offers that I have gotten (can prove with the offer letters), and can guide people through negotiating their offers as well. - I am good at simplifying complex concepts and have >4 years of experience total as a private tutor (3+ years) and as a Computer Science teaching assistant (1 year). Our tutoring sessions will be catered to whatever you need. We can: 1) Do mock phone or in-person interviews (including real interview questions from the companies you’re interviewing for) 2) Review the most common algorithms and data structures (linked lists, hash tables, binary trees, recursion, etc.) 3) Discuss ways to study and prepare for software interviews, identifying companies that are best for you, and practice answering the most common non-technical interview questions. All new students will receive a 30-minute free consultation (15 minutes to discuss your goals and 15 minutes to diagnose your level [to answer the question “would you would pass a 1st Round Interview with a Company X?”]) with the purchase of at least a 1-hour session. Since I am based in NYC, we would do sessions over Skype/phone. Rates are between $100-$200/hour, with cheaper rates for many hours or sessions. You can buy hours a-la-carte or buy one of the below packages with cheaper rates. Some examples of packages I offer with cheaper rates: 1) 2-hour crash course (30 minutes reviewing common data structures/algorithms, their space and time complexities, then 2 45-minute interviews) - $300 2) 5-hour short course (3 individual 1-hour lessons, including review and walking through interviews collaboratively and then 2 hours to simulate one phone interview and one on-site interview - $625 3) 10-hour tutoring package (the 10 hours can include the other packages or be used however you want)- $1,000
