Welcome to the Jenson Shire Farm which is located on the Missouri River Bluffs overlooking the beautiful Loess Hills of western Iowa. Our farm is only 18 miles north of Epply Air Port in Omaha and just across the Missouri River from Interstate 29 and 680. We pasture nearly 150 acres of grass land that provides our Shire herd feed from May through Nov. We normally have 40 to 50 shires on the farm. This is demonstrated by the top placing of our stock in the show ring.In our reproduction barn we freeze semen, as well as do embryo transfers. We collect semen and do A.I. for all our mares in our breeding program at this location. It is our desire to further educate the reader of this web site to the over all picture of what is involved in the production and maintenance of quality Shire horses. So come on in and look around.
