Description:

PURPOSE : Our Lube Technicians provide outstanding customer service through their interactions with customers, co-workers, and vendors. This position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance services on Agriculture Equipment. SAFETY: Promote the Safety Culture of Agri-Service. Look out for coworkers, speak up and offer assistance to ensure safe working environment for all. Advocate and exemplify safety and safe working habits using proper safety equipment not limited to hand, face, ear and eye protection. (PPE) Operate vehicle safely, following all applicable laws and company policies. Follows company safety policies and procedures on the jobsite, promotes safe behavior with our customers. Maintains a clean service truck, performs required inspections, and completes necessary paperwork Complies with all DOT and Company rules and regulations for driving the assigned vehicle. Actively follows all contamination control and Hazmat rules and regulations. Ensures equipment under repair is in a zero-energy state before servicing (Lock out Tag Out). Handles chemicals in accordance with the Safety Data Sheet (SDS). Operates cranes within manufactures guidelines, understands the crane's lifting capacity. Uses correct tooling, performs tool inspections regularly, follows tools instructions and cleans as needed. Operate industrial vehicles and forklift in a safe manner and with a valid forklift certification. Performs Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) of location and equipment, looks to eliminate or reduce potential hazards. Identifies potential safety concerns on all makes and types of equipment through walk around inspections and reports them to the supervisor and/or the customer. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Takes part in the scheduling of preventative maintenance appointments with customers. Performs all scheduled preventative maintenance services including fluid and filter maintenance within time requirement guidelines. Cycles all machine functions to ensure all preventative maintenance procedures performed correctly and completely. Performs schedule oil sampling (SOS) accurately. Completes machine inspections to help prevent major repairs or, even worse, equipment failures. Communicates worn, damaged, leaking areas on equipment to supervisor and/or customer. Evaluates customer equipment using manufactures data base, actively looks for machine updates, field campaigns - mandatory and fix as fail. Utilize a computer/laptop to maintain service reports and other necessary paperwork and completes in a timely manner. Communicate with customers and supervisors regarding the status of their equipment. Maintain a lube vehicle with appropriate tools. Accomplish training and participate with the company's strategic programs and projects. Follow and promote company's vision, mission, and values. Complete the work above in accordance with company policies, guidelines, and procedures. Strives to complete maintenance within given RTS timelines. (Repair Time Schedule) Provide own tools (assistance available). Other job-related and non-specific job-related functions as needed. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to develop and maintain product knowledge of AGCO and Agri-Service products. Knowledge of preventative maintenance practices and fluid disposal and environmental practices. Ability to start and run machinery in a safe manner. Ability to locate, understand an apply any technical information from computers, manuals, or other guides. Proficient in the use of Microsoft or other comparable systems required. Knowledge or ability to learn CDK, UKG and other software systems as identified by the organization. Drive and maintain company vehicle. Ability to work extended hours, manage time efficiently, and work with minimal supervision. Consistent attendance. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred. Proof of driver's license and acceptable driving record required. CDL license or willing to obtain. Must be able to acquire Hazmat certification as require by the DOL. Must be able to adhere to all safety requirements and applicable safety policies. Must be able to communicate in English (speak, read, comprehend, write). PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS: Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 75 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds frequently. Ability to drive for long periods of time. Must be able to accomplish any of the following for long periods of time: sit, walk, stand, climb stairs; reach, lean, twist. Note: This role may be exposed to extreme fumes, extreme temperatures, high noise level, and dirt.
